Frame and Arm Assembly Step 1 Locate the parts for the frame assembly. Push square inner caps into the ends of the butterfly base and the sides of the weight base.

Push a square inner cap into the end of the press top frame then bolt it onto the top of the bench press upright. Step 6 Put the weight top frame across the top of both the uprights and bolt it on. Attach the four weight guides to it and bolt those on. Now the frame is complete. Go back and tighten all the locknuts and make sure all the end caps are pushed in. Step 7 Locate the parts for the arm assembly. Push plastic bushings onto the welded tube of the press frame. Attach the press frame to the press base with a lubricated bolt and locknut that allow it to pivot.
Push caps onto the press arms and bolt one into each side of the bracket on the press frame. Push caps into both ends of the two butterfly arms and wet the lower ends of the arms with soapy water. Slide a foam pad onto each arm.
Lubricate the axle on the butterfly top frame and attach the butterfly arms using retaining rings and outer caps. Gently tap with the mallet to secure.
Cable and Seat Assembly Step 1 Locate the parts for the cable assembly. Bolt the 52-inch butterfly cable to the bracket on the left butterfly arm.
Locate a V-pulley and wrap the butterfly cable around it. Bolt the V-pulley and a large cable trap to the bracket at the back of the butterfly upright.

Wrap the butterfly cable around a 3 1/2-inch pulley and then attach it to the small pulley bracket on the back of the butterfly upright. Wrap the cable around another V-pulley and bolt the V-pulley and a large cable trap to the bracket at the back of the butterfly upright. Bolt the end of the butterfly cable to the bracket on the right butterfly arm. Step 2 Locate the 224-inch ab cable. Take the end with a ball and thread it round a 3 1/2-inch pulley. Then, attach the pulley to the butterfly upright.

Wrap the cable round the top pulley between the two adjustable pulley plates and then bring it up to a third pulley in the small pulley bracket below the pulley used for the butterfly cable. Wrap it round another pulley and bolt that pulley and a cable trap onto the bracket on the butterfly base.
Take the threaded end of the ab cable under the pulley mounted in the weight base and then wrap it around a 4 1/2-inch pulley. Attach this to the bracket on the weight top frame.
Attach the threaded cable end to a U bracket with a washer and nut. Then, bolt the U bracket to the hole in the top of the short weight tube.
Step 3 Locate the 143-inch, low-pulley cable. Take the end with the loop through the cable guide slot on the butterfly base. Take the cable under a Pro pulley and bolt the Pro pulley and a cable trap to the bracket on the butterfly base. Wrap the cable round a 3 1/2-inch pulley and bolt this and a cable trap to the lowest hole in the butterfly upright.
Take it round a pulley in the lower hole of the adjustable pulley plates and then wrap it round another pulley and attach this to the other end of the bolt in the lowest hole of the butterfly upright. Attach the loop at the end of the cable to the hole at the bottom of the small leg lever and secure it with a bolt, washers and jamnut. Step 4 Locate the 389-inch press cable. Take a Pro pulley and wrap the press cable round it so the end with a ball is between the pulley and the welded pin on the press top fame. Bolt the pulley to the top frame. Take the threaded end round the existing pulley in the top frame and then take it down to the floor and round a 3 1/2-inch pulley. Bolt this to a hole a few inches from the base of the press upright.
Attach a pulley on the inside of the press frame and wrap the cable through. Take it through another pulley and attach it to the leg press lever. Lead it back to the upright and up to the top of the upright. Then wrap it around a 4 1/2-inch pulley and attach this to the bracket on the weight top frame.
Attach the threaded cable end to a U-bracket with a washer and nut then bolt the U-bracket to the hole in the top of the long weight tube. Step 5 Locate the parts for the seat assembly. Bolt the backrest to the butterfly upright and bolt the seat to the seat plate.
Bolt this plate to the butterfly seat frame. Attach the seat on the press seat frame in the same way. Attach the leg press plate to the leg press lever and secure the adjustment tube on top with a locking pin.
